I have to acknowledge your 21st inst with a despatch From the Governor of Hongkong explaining the circumstances under which he had sanctioned Emigration from Hongkong to Peru.
2. It will be remembered that a short time ago a despatch was received from Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires at Lima reporting that 48 Chinese in Peru had been branded by their employer Sir Frederic Roger Bart.
